Janice Schulze
Janice Schulze has spent nearly 35 years in microbiology, most of them building this company. She holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine and helped establish ACTA's microbiology and in vitro laboratories from the ground up. She was also instrumental in setting up the QA/QC quality systems.
As ACTA's director of Quality Assurance and Quality Control, she improved the quality systems she helped build and lab operations the company still runs on. Her own bench work is in microbial limits, antimicrobial effectiveness, and in vitro biological reactivity testing, along with method development and validation.
She leads ACTA as President today, setting direction while staying close enough to the science to answer a technical question herself.
Away from the lab she camps and hikes with her husband, Kurt, and their three sons.
