ACTA Laboratories, Inc. performs chemical analyses to test for the chemical purity of water. The test for Total Organic Carbon (TOC) on water determines the presence of trace organic compounds present in the water. The test for Water Conductivity determines how well the water sample conducts electricity, detecting ions such as sodium and chloride.

ACTA also performs analyses for Bacterial Endotoxins (required for Water for Injection) and microbial enumeration tests to detect and count bacteria present in water systems.
